Covid-19: Brazil registers 51 thousand cases and 842 deaths in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours 842 new deaths were registered by covid-19 and 51,088 new cases of the disease in Brazil. There are 642,131 patients under follow-up and 5,854,709 people have already recovered. The update was released by the Ministry of Health early this Tuesday night (8).

Deaths as a result of the new coronavirus pandemic totaled 178,159 today. Yesterday, the data system of the folder about the covid-19 marked 177,317 deaths. There are still 2,230 deaths in investigation, data regarding yesterday.

The number of people infected by the virus since the beginning of the pandemic reached 6,674,999. Yesterday, the Ministry of Health panel brought 6,623,911 accumulated cases.

The balance of the ministry is released daily from notifications sent by state health secretariats. Normally, the cases are smaller on Sundays and Mondays due to the difficulty of feeding the state health secretariats. On Tuesdays, they may increase due to the accumulation of updated records.

States
The list of states with the most deaths by covid-19 is headed by São Paulo (43,282), Rio de Janeiro (23,270), Minas Gerais (10,345), Ceará (9,738) and Pernambuco (9,186). The Federation Units with fewer deaths from the disease are Acre (737), Roraima (744), Amapá (834), Tocantins (1,187) and Rondônia (1,610).
